Terms of Service Privacy Policy Trust & Safety

1. Who we are

Street Taskers is a marketplace that connects customers who need local services with skilled service providers across Nigeria. By using our platform, you agree to these terms.

2. Using Street Taskers

To post tasks or list services you must create an account with accurate information. You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

  • Do not misrepresent your skills, qualifications, or identity.
  • Do not use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Do not post tasks or services that violate Nigerian law.
  • Treat all other users with respect.

3. Customers

When you post a task, you are making a genuine request for a service. You agree to pay the agreed amount when the work is completed satisfactorily. Street Taskers is not a party to the contract between you and your chosen provider.

4. Service providers (Taskers)

When you list a service or accept a booking, you agree to complete the work as described to a professional standard. You are responsible for your own tools, transport, and any licences required for your trade. Street Taskers does not employ Taskers — they are independent service providers.

5. Payments

Payments are agreed directly between customers and Taskers. Street Taskers currently facilitates connections and may introduce payment processing in a future update. Subscription fees for Tasker plans are non-refundable once a billing period has started.

6. Trust and safety

We take safety seriously. Report any user or listing that makes you feel unsafe or that you believe is fraudulent using the in-app report feature or by contacting us directly. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these terms.

  • Never pay large sums upfront before work begins.
  • Meet in public or shared spaces for initial consultations where possible.
  • Do not share banking PINs, passwords, or OTPs with anyone.

7. Content you post

You own the content you post. By posting it on Street Taskers you grant us a licence to display it on the platform. We may remove content that violates these terms at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

Street Taskers provides a platform to connect customers and service providers. We are not liable for the quality of work performed, any disputes between users, or any loss arising from a transaction made through the platform. Use good judgement when engaging with other users.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the new terms.

11. In-platform messaging

Street Taskers provides an in-platform messaging system to allow customers and taskers to communicate after a booking is confirmed or a task application is accepted.

  • Only customers may initiate a conversation. Taskers may reply but cannot start new threads.
  • Messaging is unlocked only after a booking is confirmed (for services) or a task application is accepted (for tasks).
  • Strictly prohibited in messages: sharing phone numbers, WhatsApp links, Telegram handles, Instagram profiles, email addresses, or any other off-platform contact information. You must not arrange to communicate, meet, or transact outside of Street Taskers.
  • All messages are monitored by automated systems for contact-sharing violations. Flagged messages are reviewed.
  • A first violation results in a warning. A second violation results in a temporary restriction on messaging. Three or more violations will result in your account being flagged and may lead to permanent suspension.
  • We reserve the right to remove access to the messaging feature or suspend accounts that repeatedly attempt to take transactions off-platform.

12. Account flagging and suspension

Street Taskers reserves the right to flag, restrict, or permanently suspend any account that:

  • Repeatedly shares contact information through the messaging system in violation of Section 11.
  • Engages in fraudulent activity, misrepresents their identity, or harasses other users.
  • Attempts to circumvent the platform's rules or safety systems in any way.

Flagged accounts will be notified by email where possible. Appeals can be submitted to hello@streettasker.com.
