When you use Street Taskers, we collect:

  • Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and role (Customer or Tasker).
  • Profile information — your bio, location, service description, and profile photo if you choose to add them.
  • Task and booking data — details of tasks you post, services you list, and bookings you make or receive.
  • Location data — neighbourhood-level location you provide when posting a task or listing a service. We do not track your device location in the background.
  • Usage data — standard web analytics such as pages visited and browser type.

2. How we use your information

  • To match customers with nearby service providers.
  • To send confirmation and notification emails related to your bookings and tasks.
  • To verify identity where you choose to submit verification documents.
  • To improve the platform and fix issues.

3. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only:

  • With other users — your public profile (name, service, location, reviews) is visible to other users. Contact details (phone) are only shared with a customer or Tasker once a booking is confirmed.
  • With service providers — we use Supabase for our database and authentication. Their privacy policy applies to data stored on their infrastructure.

4. Verification documents

If you submit identity documents for Tasker verification, this data is used only for the purpose of verifying your identity. We do not share raw ID documents with third parties. Documents are stored securely and reviewed only by authorised team members.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Your rights

You can request to view, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at hello@streettasker.com.

7. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Closed accounts are deleted within 90 days, except where we are required to retain records by law.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication. Despite these measures, no system is completely secure — use a strong, unique password for your account.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice.
